When the guilt weighs heavy on him he gets her drunk on cheap wine and fucks her on plain sheets.

The scotch and vodka are for when he can’t drown his sorrow with sex.

On better days he’ll take out the silks he brought back from India and greet her at the door with a smile and whispered endearments. He’ll press kisses to her neck and bring her to the bed. Tease her until she screams in need.

Sometimes he even lets her stay for tea and they’ll talk about the weather.

But those times are few and far between.
